I like polls, but I'm assuming you meant the particular layout demonstrated in this one. So no, I didn't like it. Having the answers and Submit button all the way on the left radically reduces their noticeability. I didn't even see the poll for at least 30 seconds because I just skimmed over it. I had to scroll back up to see it.

Can you have all the poll related content in a concentrated area like the center or the left?

I feel like you may have been okay with the current setup because you're used to RTL languages. I've only ever experienced LTR languages, so I never look on the right side of the page first unless there's something attention-grabbing there.
