Red Kool-Aid on the horizon
« on: July 20, 2008, 05:29:33 PM »

My wife and I were talking today with some friends about moving back to the US. Somehow, Kool-Aid, the kids' drink, entered into the conversation. My wife said, "Wow. I haven't had that in ages. Now, our kids can share one of my favorite memories from my childhood." (I paraphrased that.)

I think the phrase, "Red Kool-Aid on the Horizon," should be the title for a much better essay than this little note. Perhaps I'll use it for a book or essay title later. Anyway, I call dibs on the idea. Smiley It would make a great starting place for a discussion of transition and expectations, hopes and dreams.

I read your first book. You have a gift. I think you should write a book about transition, about moving across cultures. "Red Kool-Aid on the Horizon" could be a good seller in the genre.

Think about it. Seriously.

Haha.  Red Kool-Aid is a classic, but now I prefer the invisible Kiwi Watermelon.
